Veterinary office assistant experience is a plus, as this is a flex position. You’ll be part of the veterinary assistant team, assisting veterinarians and technicians with a variety of animals—from cats and dogs to puppies, kittens, and even some cool exotics like rabbits, hedgehogs, sugar gliders, and turtles. You’ll also be part of the amazing veterinary office assistant team weekend rotation ( 1-2 Saturday shifts per month ),

**Duties may include**:

- Assisting Veterinarians and Veterinary Technologists with patient handling for outpatient procedures
- Assisting Veterinarians and Veterinary Technologists in the care of hospitalized patients
- Assisting Veterinarians and Veterinary Technologists in the monitoring of animal undergoing sedation or anesthesia
- Helping to admit patients for surgeries and hospitalization
- Assisting Veterinary Technologists taking radiographs
- Assisting with client communications and if necessary referring to the appropriate doctor or staff member
- General cleaning and organizational tasks
- Standard duties such as scheduling, answering phones, invoicing clients etc ( only when scheduled as VOA)

**Important Skills**:

- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals

Remuneration will be competitive and commensurate with experience

**Work Schedule**:
This position is full time, 40 hours, 5 days per week, 8 hour shift per day:
Work days to include 5 days of;
**Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, at least 1-2 Saturday per month**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
