**We are currently seeking a self-motivated Human Resources Administrator to fill a position that will be based in North Bay, Ontario. **This position is a full-time role and hours of work will be 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday.**

The Company

Established in 1890, Boart Longyear is in its 132nd year as the world’s leading provider of drilling services, orebody-data-collection technology, and innovative, safe and productivity-driven drilling equipment. With its main focus in mining and exploration activities spanning a wide range of commodities, including copper, gold, nickel, zinc, uranium, and other metals and minerals, the company also holds a substantial presence in the energy, oil sands exploration, and environmental sectors.

The Global Drilling Services division operates for a diverse mining customer base with drilling methods including diamond coring exploration, reverse circulation, large diameter rotary, mine dewatering, water supply drilling, pump services, production, and sonic drilling services.

The Geological Data Services division utilizes innovative scanning technology and down-hole instrumentation tools to capture detailed geological data from drilled core and chip samples. This valuable orebody knowledge gives mining companies the ability to make timely decisions for more efficient exploration activities.

The Global Products division offers sophisticated research and development and holds hundreds of patented designs to manufacture, market, and service reliable drill rigs, innovative drill string products, rugged performance tooling, durable drilling consumables, and quality parts for customers worldwide.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):

- Inputting employee information into our Oracle Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
- Updating and maintaining employee personnel files
- Gather and process documentation
- Data entry
- Answers telephones, screens calls and forwards messages.
- Sorts and forwards mail as appropriate.
- Work closely with the North American HR Team and supervisors as needed.
- Participate in recruitment efforts, including pre-screens and interviews.
- Operates general office equipment such as personal computer, scanner, copies, calculator, fax or other office machines.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience prioritizing and managing multiple assignments concurrently, performing well under pressure, and meeting deadlines, while ensuring acute attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional organization skills to work in this fast-paced environment
- Oracle experience is an asset.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools.
- Excellent communication skills -- written and verbal (French is an asset).
- Works well in a team environment.
- Possess strong IT and customer service skills
- Previous experience with an HRIS system an asset.
- Knowledge of mining industry is an asset.

Education and Experience:

- Post secondary education in Human Resources
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a Human Resource or Payroll role

Reporting Relationship

The position reports directly to the Human Resource Manager.
