**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including meal preparation and cooking.
- Create and develop new menu items while maintaining the quality of existing dishes.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to established recipes and standards.
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen in compliance with health regulations.
- Monitor food safety practices to ensure compliance with local health codes.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and guests.
- A passion for cooking and a commitment to providing outstanding culinary experiences.
