Company Introduction:
T&T Supermarket Inc. was found in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly to become Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 29 stores across the country: 13 in Metro Vancouver, 6 in Alberta, and 10 in Ontario (8 in GTA and 1 in Ottawa, 1 in Waterloo).
The Role:
Reporting to the Store Manager, the Store Administrator is responsible executing store operations administration duties to ensure the store’s day-to-day operation runs smoothly. The position also acts as a key liaison between the store and Human Resources Department located in the Head Office / Eastern Regional Office by providing support to matters related to store personnel including recruitment of general staff, workplace health & safety arrangement; time, attendance and leave inputting / verification; group benefits enrolment, as well as coordinating matters related to staff services.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist Store Manager by performing store administrative clerical work, handle all store specified documents/ files/ internal mail / licenses and reports etc
- Prepare and maintain financials, statistics and reports for each department at store; ensure timely submission of relevant reports to Store Operations and Accounting Department
- Maintain and keep updating store and department organization chart, ensure positions of Supervisor and above are filled timely
- Assist Store Manager to prepare service requisitions and take responsibility to arrange store repairs and maintenances
- Remind Duty Managers to follow up on all day/night shift duties; ensure such duties are completed before deadlines
- Document project progress or identify problems for company to review
- Responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the office, sales floor, lunch room and back room’s; ensure stationary and required supplies are sufficient
- Work as the key contact person for all kinds of Store Administration issues; coordinate with outside contractors & suppliers
- Assist Store Manager to handle matters related to tenants and/or property management and arrange product demonstrations
- Coordinate all kinds of store meetings, staff/management forums and prepare minutes, record key points of weekly Huddle and various employees’ statements
- Act as the Key Liaison between Store and HR in handling the following matters related to store personnel
**Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements**
- Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evening hours and statutory holidays
- Possess Good computer skills of Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Possess basic knowledge of accounting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) an asset
- Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety
- Completed post-secondary education is preferred
- A minimum of 1 year experience in handling paperwork and at supervisory level
