**We have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Generalist who thrives in fast-paced environment to join our Human Resources team.**
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources; the Human Resources Generalist will assist the department with onboarding, compensation administration, employee relations, performance management, and providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
**Schedule**:40 hours per week; Monday to Friday ( on-site)
**Salary**: $60,000 - $7,000 per year
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Handle all HR administration and respond to HR inquiries.
- Oversee and enforce Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide assistance to managers and employees to ensure timely and accurate completion of all documents.
- Manage the creation, review, and maintenance of employment documentation.
- Implement and maintain HR best practices throughout the group.
- Handle employee relations matter professionally and confidentially.
- Assist in the onboarding process, including facilitating orientation sessions.
- Collaborate with management to address HR-related issues and initiatives.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- In conjunction with the Human Resources Manager, identify opportunities to further develop and expand HR initiatives, processes and programs.
- Update HR policies and procedures
- Research and analysis of competitive compensation practices
- Support ongoing HR projects
- Stay updated on relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of HR Administrator role or higher.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable employment and human rights legislation, as well as Human Resources best practices
- Proven people influencing and leadership ability
- Experience working within tight deadlines with multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to adapt to a fast paced, high volume retail operation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and various HRIS software
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Positive and proactive attitude
- CPHR designation is an asset
