**Job Title: Manager - Pottery Painting Studio**

**Company Overview**:
Busy Brushes is a small, independent pottery painting studio where people of all ages can come to relax and express their creativity.

**Position Details**:
**Availability**: Must be available **weekends**and some flexible weekday shifts

**Hours**: 15 - 35 hours/week depending on season

**Compensation**: $20 - 22/hour (based on experience) + tips + studio discounts

**Location**:Peterborough, ON (in-person only)

**This role begins with hands-on training across all studio tasks; from glazing and firing to hosting workshops and managing bookings, with the goal of gradually taking on more responsibility.**

We're looking for someone who **sees themselves here long-term**, growing into a key part of the studio’s future. Bonus if you’ve worked with ceramics, Canva/social media, or booking systems, but not required.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Customer Experience:

- Greet and assist guests of all ages through the pottery painting process
- Create a friendly, inclusive, and relaxed atmosphere
- Handle payments, bookings, and customer questions
- Run birthday parties and special events

Studio Operations:

- Set up and clean up painting stations
- Glaze pottery and load/unload kiln (training provided)
- Maintain inventory and studio organization
- Open and close the studio independently

Leadership & Growth:

- Help create and maintain operational systems (cleaning, scheduling, supply tracking, etc.)
- Learn back-end aspects of running the studio
- Take on increasing leadership over time, with growth into a management role within the next year

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 35 per week
