**Job Title: Lead Studio Attendant - Pottery Painting Studio**

**Company Overview**:
Busy Brushes is a creative, community-focused pottery painting studio where people of all ages come to relax, connect, and create. We are a small, independent business that values great customer service, attention to detail, and a welcoming atmosphere. We're looking for a reliable, creative, and experienced individual to take on a key role in the studio, with the opportunity to grow into a leadership or managerial position over time.

**Key Responsibilities**:
As Lead Studio Attendant, you’ll be a core part of our small team. You’ll ensure the day-to-day studio operations run smoothly, provide excellent customer service, and help shape the studio environment.

**Customer Experience**:

- Greet and assist guests of all ages through the pottery painting process
- Create a friendly, inclusive, and relaxed atmosphere
- Handle payments, bookings, and customer questions
- Run birthday parties and special events

Studio Operations:

- Set up and clean up painting stations
- Glaze pottery and load/unload kiln (training provided)
- Maintain inventory and studio organization
- Open and close the studio independently

Leadership & Growth:

- Oversee part-time staff during shifts and provide informal training
- Help create and maintain operational systems (cleaning, scheduling, supply tracking, etc.)
- Learn back-end aspects of running the studio
- Take on increasing leadership over time, with the potential to grow into a management role within the next year

**Qualifications**:
We’re looking for someone with a unique mix of creativity, leadership, and responsibility.
- Creative experience
- 2+ years customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
- Supervisory or leadership experience
- Reliable, self-motivated, and confident managing shifts alone
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work

Considered Assets:

- Experience in ceramics or working with kilns
- Small business experience or interest in entrepreneurship
- Experience with scheduling, ordering, or operational planning
- Familiarity with Canva or social media content creation
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods

**Position Details**:
**Availability**: Must be available weekends and some weekday shifts

**Hours**: 10 - 35 hours/week depending on season and fit

**Compensation**: $18 -22/hour (based on experience) + tips + studio discounts

**Location**:Peterborough, ON (in-person only)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
