FG Deli Group is looking for a **proactive, people-savvy HR Generalist** to join our collaborative and energized team In this dynamic role, you’ll support a wide range of HR functions—from recruitment to return-to-work planning, from performance management to party planning (yes, you’ll help with team events too). If you’re organized, solutions-oriented, and ready to make an impact, we’d love to hear from you. **What You’ll Be Up To**: **Recruitment & Onboarding** - Attract and manage top talent to keep our team strong and turnover low - Support new hire documentation and ensure a seamless onboarding experience using HRIS system for electronic documents - Track and report on recruitment activity with precision **Disability & Leave Management** - Prepare claims for STD, LTD, and assist with WSBC while keeping timelines tight - Coordinate modified duties and return-to-work plans with care providers and teams - Stay connected with employees on leave and keep documentation accurate - Team up with payroll colleagues to manage benefit arrears and coverage **Employee & Labor Relations** - Be a trusted bridge between employees and management - Support union contract interpretation, conduct and document discipline meetings - Help plan fun and inclusive events as part of the Social Committee - Keep bulletin boards, HR info, and internal resources fresh and relevant **Training & Development** - Lead engaging orientation sessions for new team members - Design training content and ensure compliance with industry standards **Performance Management** - Administer our performance review program—track progress, support managers, and streamline processes - Recommend ways to make performance management more effective and employee-focused **Teamwork & Support** - Be a key collaborator across departments - Jump in to support the HR Team when needed - Share your ideas—continuous improvement is part of our DNA **What You Bring**: - Proven experience in a generalist HR role 2 to 5 years (bonus points for union experience) - A strong sense of discretion, integrity, and professionalism - Excellent communication and organizational skills - A friendly, approachable style and a "how can I help?" attitude - Comfort juggling multiple priorities while keeping an eye on the details - Strong desire to learn from experience HR leaders **Why Join FG Deli Group?** We’re more than just a workplace—we’re a team that values respect, collaboration, and doing things the right way.
