**Hours**

The expected work hours run 8:00am until 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. Overtime may be required according to business needs. You will be eligible for overtime in accordance with Provincial Legislation.

**Responsibilities**:
Based out of **Red Deer or Calgary**, the Controller plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing all financial reporting and corporate financial administration activities at CBI Solar. This position requires providing valuable financial insights, analysis, and strategic input to the leadership team to drive financial performance and decision-making.

**Duties** (include, but not limited to)**:

- Act as business partner to the management team
- Lead strategic accounting operations
- Prepare and review internal and external financial reports
- Analyze monthly and year-to-date operating results against budgets
- Maintain daily and monthly cash flow management
- Work with business to determine key performance indicators in the operations and build and monitor achievement of or work collaboratively to implement plans to achieve business results
- Recommend and implement internal control enhancements and process improvements
- Deliver accurate and timely financial information to the leadership team
- Train and support accounting staff
- Maintain relationships with banks, external accountants and other external stakeholders

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 5 years of practical business operations experience in progressively senior roles in finance
- University degree in Business/Accounting and a Canadian professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA)
- Proficiency in analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports, statements, and projections
- Ability to motivate teams, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines
- Supervisory experience is essential
- Familiarity with Corporate taxes, Provincial sales tax, Taxable benefits, and other regulatory requirements
