**About the Role**
- Dining Room Assistant Manager
- $19.10_

Reporting to the Dining Room Manager, the Dining Room Assistant Manager is responsible for the smooth operation of the dining room shift; oversee the dining room staff and to maintain the standard and quality of service in the dining room.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the dining room staff are carrying out their duties correctly, i.e., service attitude, proper etiquette, etc.
- Supervise the operations of the dining room; carry out the shift opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure staff are present for their shift and complete the proper absence paperwork when necessary.
- Ensure the dining room staff is in proper attire i.e., name tag, tie, hair, etc.
- Execute the completed seating plan for guests, tweak assigned sections and make appropriate changes to the schedule when needed.
- Attend to guests needs at all times enthusiastically.
- Seat guests on check-in according to the seating chart.
- Handle guest and staff complaints/compliments, pass on issues to the appropriate managers.
- Discuss employee issues with Human Resources as they arise and follow through on direction provided.
- Recognize and reward staff.
- Set-up for conventions, BBQ’s, special dinners, and functions.
- Ensure the staff is following Health and Safety standards set out by the resort.
- Execute training of the new hires as required.
- Act as a liaison in the dining room to ensure that there is open communication between the dining room, front desk, and kitchen.
- Step into the Server, Assistant Server or Expeditor job when necessary.
- Ensure that all proper steps are taken when dealing with food allergies.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper clean up after each meal, and larger cleaning jobs are completed when needed.

Job Specification:

- Well groomed, warm, and friendly.
- Available to work shift work, evenings, holidays, and weekends is mandatory.
- Prior supervisory experience is an asset but not required.
- Must have 2 years prior serving experience.
- May be required to work elsewhere on the Resort if needed.

Working Conditions:

- Walk and stand for the duration of shifts.
- Lift and carry trays up to 25 lbs unassisted.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.10 per hour
