Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with a knack for managing customer accounts and chasing down payments (politely, of course)? We’re looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team — someone who’s confident with Accounts Receivable, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and loves turning numbers into accurate records.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their portfolio, collaborating with sales and leadership, and keeping things running like clockwork.
**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Oversee and maintain AR portfolios in both Canadian and US funds.
- Review and assess new customer accounts for credit approval.
- Monitor outstanding sales orders to ensure timely invoicing.
- Use third-party software to manage and validate EDI orders.
- Send out weekly service invoices with required backup documentation.
- Investigate short or missing payments with support from sales as needed.
- Utilize customer portals to retrieve reports and submit claims when required.
- Review AR aging weekly, send statements, and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Lead the monthly AR meeting: prepare reports, present to leadership, and send meeting minutes.
- Make adjustments to sales orders, paying close attention to live inventory accuracy.
- Prepare daily bank deposits and ensure proper documentation.
- Maintain excellent communication with customers, internal teams, and vendors.
- Be flexible and knowledgeable enough to step in and support other AR/AP duties as needed.
- Handle all information with confidentiality and professionalism.

**What You Bring**:

- 2-3 years of experience in AR and AP (high volume experience preferred).
- A diploma or degree in business, accounting, or a related field (an asset).
- Previous experience in the food industry is a bonus.
- Strong computer skills and comfort working in a digital environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Able to juggle tasks and priorities without dropping the ball.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills — you’re a team player.
- Analytical mindset and a problem-solving attitude.
- Confidence in working independently while collaborating across departments.
