In this role, you will oversee and enhance the university’s response to student conduct matters under the Resolution of Non-Academic Misconduct Allegations policy. Work arrangements may include 1-2 days of remote work per week with flexibility to come to campus as needed.*_** **The salary range for this position is**: - **Recruitment range: $87,035 - $95,971 starting salary** determined by the PEA Collective Agreement. - **Performance range: starting salary to max of $113,217** is available through annual performance increases - Job Summary**Mandate**: The Office of Student Life’s Student Conduct and Case Resolution team oversees the university’s response to non-academic student conduct concerns under the Resolution of Non-Academic Misconduct policy. To support a respectful and safe campus community, the Student Conduct and Case Resolution team applies a variety of policies and processes to address and respond to incidents of harm and complex behavioural concerns on campus. Using a student-centred, trauma-informed, and procedurally fair approach, the SCCR team works with students and community members to navigate resolution pathways after engaging in, or being impacted by, high-risk or harmful incidents on campus. We are dedicated to approaching this work in consideration of the complex experiences, systems, and barriers that students may face and are committed to upholding a supportive, principled, and fair approach to addressing student conduct concerns. **Scope**: The Manager, Student Conduct and Case Resolution is responsible for the implementation and supervision of the university’s non-academic misconduct policy and its supporting program. The Manager supervises or leads response processes for the investigation and resolution of non-academic student misconduct matters for all undergraduate and graduate students across the university. Specifically, the incumbent is responsible for: - assessing, evaluating, and directing the response to high-risk/high profile student conduct concerns under the non-academic misconduct policy in consideration of policy, ethics, best practice, and trends within the student population; - supervising or leading highly complex, dynamic and comprehensive resolution processes including ADR, voluntary/informal processes, and formal investigations; - making decisions or recommendations on appropriate outcomes and sanctions following a resolution process; and - directing the response to significant conduct issues that require coordination across diverse departments (e.g., Campus Security, Residence, Counselling, Health Services, etc.). - consulting with, and supporting, Academic units and faculty members in responding to student conduct concerns that arise in the academic environment under the Academic Calendar. The Manager plays an ongoing role in the provision of critical response services to students in distress, providing expertise, consultation and advice to the Student Support Coordinator team, Response Coordination Teams and senior management on the handling of complex and high-risk student conduct issues. The Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and management to advance the University’s community responsibility and prevention efforts, in particular the initiatives related to community expectations, pro-social engagement, and awareness and capacity-building related to conflict. The Manager will work with campus partners, academic departments, students, student governments, and advocacy groups to support a collaborative approach to student conduct initiatives and develop tools and resources to mitigate harm
