Assistant Site Supervisor

This role is based out of Guelph, Ontario, where you will be assisting with the development of Terra View’s newest communities. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be required to ensure the highest standards of safety, work ethic and quality both on and off the job site.

**As part of your duties and responsibilities as Assistant Site Supervisor, you will**:

- Assist the Site Supervisor and the rest of on-site staff with the overall supervision of the site
- Assist with the development, maintenance and execution of the construction schedule to ensure full completion of the house prior to the closing date 100% of the time
- Assess all phases of construction for quality as per plans and specifications, inspect construction problems and determine solutions to maintain desired finished product
- Liaise between trade partners and Terra View Homes, offering direction, support and management
- Champion Health & Safety and participate in professional training and development initiatives as identified or requested
- Comply with all government regulations related to codes, zoning, safety, and other requirements
- Support with motivating and developing skills of on-site team members
- Maintain company reputation among homeowners and subcontractors

**What you will bring to our team**:

- 8-10 years of experience in the construction industry preferred
- Ambition to eventually grow into a Head Site Super role
- Ability to complete construction tasks such as framing, painting, caulking, drywall finishings with an understanding of plumbing and electrical work preferred
- Understanding of Tarion New Home Warranty Plan Act and Ontario Building Code preferred
- Expert in reading and reviewing blueprints / floor plans
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse groups of people
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
- Post-secondary education (e.g., Skilled Trade, Construction Management, Construction Technology, Carpentry, Civil Engineering, etc.) preferred
- Valid G Driver’s License
