Housekeeping Attendant

We are now hiring for a both a Part Time & Full Time Housekeeping Attendant at the Howard Johnson Winnipeg West. We are a full service hotel with 43 guest rooms, Bar & Grill and retail Beer Store. We pride ourselves on providing a very clean place for our guests to stay.

This job will require both weekdays and weekends. We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule that we will not have to work around.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Clean assigned Rooms according to Wyndham Brand Standards. This includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming carpet, and dusting furniture. Must be able to clean all room types.
- Place and restock usable items in the room including paper items, soap, towels, according to brand Standards.
- Clean immediate exterior entry areas and windows, according to Brand Standards.
- Operate housekeeping equipment in a correct and safe manner.
- Maintain and restock housekeeping cart each day and also keep the carts in a clean and orderly fashion at all times.
- Know hotel emergency procedures.
- Reporting all lost and found items (Tag items with you name, the place in which you found the item, and the date).
- Report immediately to the supervisor any out of the ordinary situation in the guests’ rooms, including unreported pets, damage or stolen properties, parties in the room, unusually dirty room or a vacant room when the room is through to be occupied.
- Taking part in the general cleaning of the hotel property.
- Ensure storage areas are organized and clean.
- Complete maintenance work orders and deliver to Inspector or designated area in a timely manner.
- Accommodates guest special requests courteously, any issues that you cannot resolve with a guest, bring to the attention of Manager so the issue can be resolved immediately.
- Provide excellent customer service to all our guests.
- May be rotated in and out of laundry or called for assistance (Laundry staff also may request to collect dirty linens from the floors, also need to keep the working area’s cleanness).
- Carry out any reasonable request by management that you are capable of performing

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24-40 per week

**Salary**: $13.50-$15.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Tips
