Technical Sales Leader

**Position Summary**
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Relationship Building**: Develop trust-based relationships with clients, delivering tailored solutions to meet their needs and close deals.
- **Pipeline Development**: Build and manage a robust sales pipeline using spreadsheets and detailed note-keeping for accurate forecasting.
- **Team Growth**: Upon demonstrated success, recruit, onboard, and lead a small sales team of 1-3 representatives, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- **Technical Expertise**: Leverage knowledge of IP video cameras, video surveillance, and security services (e.g., AI-powered analytics, IP networking, cloud services) to articulate value propositions and address client inquiries.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Partner with product, marketing, and technical teams to align sales strategies for maximum success.
- **Performance Tracking**: Monitor performance metrics using manual records and provide regular reports to leadership, preparing to scale tracking for a future team.
**Qualifications**
- **Experience**:
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience in a technical environment, preferably with IP video cameras, video surveillance, or security services, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Leadership or mentoring experience is a plus; potential to grow into a leadership role managing a small team is essential.
- **Technical Skills**:
- Strong understanding of IP video camera market offerings, video surveillance, and security services.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) for pipeline management; familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Pipedrive, Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus.
- **Soft Skills**:
- Exceptional communication, networking, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a consultative sales approach.
- Self-starter mindset with adaptability and independence.
- Leadership potential to inspire a small, high-performing team.
- **Education**:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Security, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Trade qualification in alarm or networking-related trade is an asset.
**Performance Expectations**
- Drive significant revenue growth through new client acquisition and existing client expansion via effective prospecting and relationship-building.
- Maintain strong sales performance against assigned targets.
- Deliver accurate quarterly forecasts using manual tracking methods.
- Upon success, build and lead a small team to achieve collective goals within 12-18 months.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$145,000.00 per year
Additional pay:
- Commission pay
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
