Westwood is looking to find a people first and motivated Human Resources & Benefits Administrator to join our team.

In this dynamic role, you will work alongside the Director of Human Resources to tackle all things people-related. You will be responsible for providing generalist administrative services covering areas such as recruitment, attendance management, employee changes, and employee relations and benefits management.

**What your day will look like **
- Lead the recruitment process by working closely with the hiring manager throughout all stages of recruitment, including posting vacancies, conducting phone screens, participating in interviews, drafting letters of employment, and checking references.
- Support and coordinate new employee orientation
- Ensure employee records and are kept up to date, including maintenance of employee files
- Maintain Westwood organizational chart
- Perform compensation benchmarking based on the current market
- Conduct reporting activities for all Human Resources metrics
- Monitor staff attendance
- Support with entering and maintaining employee data in the HRIS system
- Responsible for ensuring proper documentation and sign-off for all employee changes
- Standard benefit administration including enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Work closely with Finance to ensure employment standards requirements are met and adhered to
- Assist with special projects and office events
- Support employees with general inquiries regarding policies, procedures, etc.
- Work closely with the Health & Safety Coordinator to ensure proper adherence to work-safe standards
- Other duties as required

**What you bring**
- Degree, diploma, or certificate in Human Resources
- Experience working within an HRIS system (UKG preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in Human Resources
- Solid knowledge in employment regulations including the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Act and general employment law.
- Keen attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Flexibility and demonstrated ability to take initiative
- A customer service mindset for our people that count on our HR team
