Assistant Professor, One Health Against Pathogens

Research areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Parasite-derived molecules as targets for drug, diagnostic, and vaccine development), with responsibilities that may include developing and delivering courses such as:

Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Parasitology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.- Proven record of excellence in research on host-parasite interactions.- Demonstrated success in securing research funding and publishing impactful scholarly work.- Committed to interdisciplinary research, training, and teaching within a One Health framework.

Applicants with expertise in zoonotic protozoan or helminth infections, drug discovery, vaccine development, or AI-driven approaches to infectious diseases are particularly encouraged to apply.

Our research spans several critical themes, including:
- Analysis of host-parasite interactions from immunological, nutritional, and biochemical perspectives, vaccine development, and antigen or nucleic acid-based diagnostic assays.- Drug discovery and RNA therapeutic development.- Mechanisms of antiparasitic drug resistance.- Neurobiology and neuropharmacology of helminths.- Molecular and cellular biology of parasites.
