Element5 - Machine Operator (Afternoon Shift)

Workdays/Hours**:Monday - Thursday (3:30 PM to 2:00 AM)**
Element5 specializes in the design, fabrication and assembly of modern timber buildings. We work with solid wood, the world’s most versatile and only renewable building resource
**Responsibilities**:
- Operates machinery/equipment as trained to maximize plant efficiency.
- Be flexible and open to changes in assignments to provide support to other areas of the department.
- Takes part in the continuous improvement process to improve productivity and quality (provides suggestions, participates in problem-solving, volunteers on committee or focus group activities, etc.) and focuses on solutions.
- Alert supervisor/maintenance of any safety, quality, maintenance or production concerns related to equipment.
- Performs visual and documented inspections on parts as required.
- Adheres to Element5 safety policies, manufacturing procedures and workplace policies.
- Provide input to management to facilitate effective cost reduction, work simplification, scheduling, or other continuous improvement measures.
- Maintains 5S and housekeeping programs in area of work.
- Complete regular reports as required.
- Participate and/or lead special assignments when necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
**Education And Experience**:
- 2-3+ years machine operation experience
- Knowledgeable of quality and compliance standards
- Experience working with an ERP system
- **What you need to work as a Machine Operator**:
- CSA approved Safety Shoes
- We will supply the rest of the PPE required
**Qualifications And Skills**:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Conducts themselves in a professional manner when receiving or giving feedback/information, whether it is positive or constructive.
- Strong ability to lead, coach, and drive a team to succeed.
- Integrity, leading by example.
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
