Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Inventory Control Specialist to

join our team in the food distribution and logistics sector. The Inventory Control

Specialist will be responsible for managing the accurate tracking, monitoring, and

reporting of inventory levels, ensuring that our food products are consistently available

and meet operational needs. This role involves working closely with warehouse,

procurement, and distribution teams to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing

waste and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inventory Management: Monitor and track food inventory levels, ensuring

accurate records are maintained across multiple distribution centers.
- Stock Replenishment: Collaborate with the procurement and purchasing

departments to reorder supplies and food products as necessary, preventing

stockouts and overstock situations.
- Data Analysis: Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliation of physical

inventory against system records to identify discrepancies and resolve them

promptly.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food products meet quality standards and adhere

to all relevant health and safety regulations. Ensure proper rotation of stock

(FIFO - First In, First Out).
- Order Fulfillment: Assist in the preparation and scheduling of orders for timely

delivery, ensuring that inventory is available to meet customer demands.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, track

performance, and forecast inventory needs. Report any issues or discrepancies

to management.
- Warehouse Coordination: Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure

efficient storage and organization of products, reducing spoilage and minimizing

handling errors.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations,

including temperature requirements, expiration dates, and inventory traceability.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement inventory control

processes and best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize

stock levels.

Qualifications:

- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in

Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in inventory control, logistics, or supply

chain management, preferably in the food distribution industry.
- Skills:

- Strong understanding of inventory management systems and software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and stock tracking.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving inventory, and

standing for long periods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams and external

stakeholders.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to work in a warehouse or distribution center environment, which may

involve exposure to varying temperatures and lifting of heavy food products.
- Ability to move, lift, or carry items up to [weight].
