**What you will do**:
Reporting to the Manager, Community Programming in the Community Programming and Outreach Services Division, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide daily oversight to the delivery of programs, services and events for children through to older adults, with a focus on leisure/special interest programming, older adult programs and services, summer and school break camps, and the provision of Inclusion Services.
- Provide leadership to the Community Programming team, including three full-time staff (two Programmers and one Inclusion Services Coordinator), 40+ part time casual and summer employees (Camp/Program Leaders, Camp Coordinators, Program Associates, Program Coordinators, Program Instructors, Inclusion Support Workers, Inclusion Support Coordinator), contract program instructors, and service providers.
- Lead the recruitment, selection, orientation, and development of the various staff teams; supervising day-to-day performance, scheduling, training, and provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching.
- Research, develop and recommend changes to programs, services and events to support goals and objectives of section, division and/or department through a collaborative approach and inclusive lens.
- Provide guidance a variety of staff across divisions on questions and concerns regarding inclusion services and inclusive programming.
- Oversee program operations within legislation, regulations and approved policies and procedures.
- Assist to establish, monitor and achieve goals and objectives as set out in the corporate Strategic Plan, Community Programming and Outreach Services Business Plan and Multi-Year Accessibility Plan; Development of section work plans to align with departmental and strategic plans.
- Assists the Manager in preparing annual budget and staffing requirements for program; Overseeing grant funding and program specific operating budgets, monitoring and reporting variances to manager on a regular basis.
- Provide additional support and resources for clients and families; Collaborates, coordinates and liaises with various community agencies and other health service professionals as required and appropriate.
- Responsible for the oversight of client documentation (i.e. camper and inclusion records/files), including proper authorization, storage and record keeping (working with Legislative Services on privacy assessments and recommendations).
