**EARLY CHILDHOOD ASSISTANT POSITION**

We are looking for an Early Childhood Assistant in our Toddler classroom (18 months to 2.5 years old).

Hours to be determined based on need. It may start with part-time hours and increase to full-time, or will start with full time right away. More can be discussed in the interviews.
- Pay amount will be dependent on the applicant's years of experience._

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Certified in Standard First Aid & CPR/AED (Level C)
- Have a clear police reference check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Current Immunization Record & Health Check
- **Minimum 1 year experience working within a child care classroom (eg. Toddler and/or Preschool classroom)**

**RESPONSIBILITIES (NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING)**
- Assists Early Childhood Educator (ECE) in providing a high-quality program in the classroom.
- Follows and implements school and ministry of education policies, behavioural practices, curriculum and procedures.
- Provides a clean, safe and supportive environment for the children and staff members.
- Assists ECE in planning, preparing and implementing the learning environment, setting up, and preparing materials.
- Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, children and families.
- Implements communication and documentation responsibilities (e.g. daily log, paperwork, updates through the app, activities etc).
- Punctual and consistent with attendance.
- Renews and maintains personal requirements documentation for the position (e.g. first aid certification).
