Manager - Supply Chain Governance

The Kinross Corporate Head Office is located in downtown Toronto and supports Kinross operations and projects worldwide. Corporate functions include Finance, Procurement, Health & Safety, Human Resources, IT and Investor Relations.
This role will be responsible for supporting global operations by maintaining, implementing, and monitoring the Kinross Supply Chain policy, procedure, and associated governance processes with the goal of creating a more compliant and cost-efficient supply chain.
This role will report directly to the Senior Director of Supply Chain and will have an indirect reporting line to the VP, Compliance.
**Responsibilities**:
- Act as Global Supply Chain (GSC) governance champion focused on building a culture of compliance leveraging broader Kinross relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Manage the end-to-end administration process for the Supply Chain policy including policy and reference document reviews and updates, training programs, and governance processes.
- Contribute to Kinross' success by developing best-in-class supply chain Governance practices by leading initiatives that advance monitoring and compliance performance.
- Consult with stakeholders across the business to complete comprehensive reviews required to guide updates on Policy related documents and implementation actions.
- Develop and coordinate appropriate communications and training strategies to facilitate policy understanding and adoption of the Supply Chain Policy and related documents.
- Review existing policy documents and look for opportunities to enhance, streamline and clarify items to facilitate understanding, reduce duplication and create efficiencies.
- Coordinate with compliance on supplier due diligence-related issues with the goal of ensuring full compliance with policy requirements for all suppliers.
- Collaborate with Internal Audit on the remediation of compliance-related issues identified during site audits and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure the Toronto Corporate supply chain function is a “Centre of Excellence” on supply chain governance and policy compliance.
- Ensure GSC governance KPIs, metrics, and related reports are updated, published, and reviewed with stakeholders and used to drive compliance performance.
- Monitor and analyze operational data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities and provide improvement recommendations.
- Ensure supply chain process and systems implementations are in compliance with supply chain policy and related documentation requirements.
- Other projects as required.
**Education and Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Law, or related area.
- 10+ years of work experience in roles as a technical advisor, program manager, consultant
- Strong knowledge of purchasing and supply chain processes and best practices
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to gather, analyze and evaluate facts to prepare concise oral and written reports
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with change management, and ability to influence and encourage collaboration to achieve common goals
- Demonstrated knowledge of policy governance management
