Kitchen Chef Assistant

**Overview**
**Duties**
- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, and measuring as required for various dishes.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
- Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas regularly.
- Assist in menu planning and development by providing input on seasonal ingredients.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing kitchen dynamics.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members.
- Ability to converse in Korean is an asset.
Starting pay is at $17.20/hour with opportunity for increased pay.
