**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and present sushi dishes with precision and artistry, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, including proper sanitation of tools and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs for restocking to management.
- Stay updated on current trends in sushi preparation and presentation techniques to enhance menu offerings.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests when necessary, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests.
**Skills**
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant environment, specifically in sushi or Japanese cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices, including proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various sushi-making techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for culinary excellence.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide exceptional service to guests.
