We seek excellent students, faculty, and staff to join us in what has become known as the "Western Experience" - an opportunity to contribute to a better world through the development of new knowledge, new abilities, new connections, and new ways to make a difference. **About Us**: **Responsibilities**: The Associate Registrar will provide strategic vision, leadership and overall direction in the University’s effort to recruit over 6,000 academically strong and diverse students per year in a manner consistent with the University’s mission and strategic plan for growth and internationalization. The role will be a key advisor to the Registrar in the development and implementation of strategic plans and programs and policies that ensure successful achievement of the University’s undergraduate recruitment goals, which include a target undergraduate enrollment of 50,000 over 5 years, 15% of which will be international students. The Associate Registrar will ensure continuity of administrative operations, coach and mentor staff in their portfolio, and will provide comprehensive consultation on a variety of processes to ensure both clients and the University community are served effectively. **Qualifications**: **Education**: - Undergraduate Degree in Business Management/Administration, Marketing and Communication, or other relevant degrees - Master’s Degree in Business Management/Administration, Marketing and Communication, Professional Education or other relevant degrees preferred **Experience**: - 10 years’ experience leading and managing a team responsible for global marketing of an educational organization resulting in the recruitment of a diverse student population - 5 years’ experience in building a strong collaborative team and leading people - Experience in a unionized or public sector environment is preferred - Experience recruiting international students at the undergraduate level is preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - In-depth knowledge of strategic recruitment management principles and strategies - In-depth knowledge of best practices in marketing, communications and recruitment for both the domestic and international markets - Extensive knowledge pertaining to academic and internal policies, external policies and guidelines - Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and analyses - Knowledge and navigation of social media platforms relevant to student population - In-depth knowledge of best practices in building a strong collaborative team and leading people - Advanced judgment, analytical and problem-solving skills with a consultative and collaborative approach to addressing issues and opportunities - Strong leadership skills with the ability to hold others accountable for performance - Ability to effectively manage projects and change initiatives that align with organizational strategies and/or provide opportunities to increase efficiency - Ability to establish effective processes for excellent communication with all members of the team to maximize productivity - Communication skills with the ability to converse with, write reports for, and deliver presentations to all levels of the organization - A well-defined sense of diplomacy including solid negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills - Ability to coach and mentor direct reports with proven track record of success - Ability to quickly re-allocate resources and adjust priorities in response to unexpected events or changing circumstances - Effective interpersonal skills to influence others and build positive and strong relationships at all levels of the organization **Western Values Diversity**: Accommodations are available for applicants with disabilities throughout the recruitment process.
