All Weather Windows (AWW) is currently seeking a Health and Safety Advisor. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, the H&S Advisor will assist with providing H&S leadership, support and recommendations to all employees, supervisors/managers, and contractors within the AWW Glass Manufacturing Operations and Commercial Division and, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment and advancing the safety culture.

As this position will support both day and evening shifts, hours will be:
Monday: 7am-3:30pm

Tuesday: 9:30am - 6pm

Wednesday: 7am-3:30pm

Thursday: 9:30am - 6pm

Friday: 7am-3:30pm

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the AWW Glass & Commercial Division meet COR standards and compliance, conducting annual internal COR audits and scheduling external audit as schedule dictates.
- Ensure all new employees receive AWW H&S new hire orientation and necessary training as mandated by job duties or legislation.
- Schedule, perform and track all safety inspections, completing follow up where required on plant and site inspections while verifying that corrective actions identified during inspections are implemented.
- Support with the development and implementation of project specific safety plans & project start up liaison which includes the development of hazard assessments prior to project start, while periodic review through the life cycle of the project. Attend client progress meetings, Contractor Start-Up meetings, daily/weekly various safety meetings when required.
- Evaluate the AWW Glass subcontractor’s pre-qualification documentation on an annual basis to determine the ability to achieve expected AWW H&S performance, while verifying WCB clearance and Insurance documentation is in place.
- Support supervisory group in the AWW incident investigation process and hold the team accountable to quality, timely completion of incident/injury reporting with focus on action plans to improve processes for the future.
- Responsible for training and supporting supervisors/managers (Plant & Commercial) in understanding and following OH&S standards & requirements (i.e., Legislation; Due Diligence; Incident Investigations; WCB stats; inspection; etc.).
- Support the WCB Claims Management process, utilizing the AWW Health Nurse as a resource & assist with modified work plans and monitoring of employees.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety Management and/or equivalent
- National Construction Safety Officer Designation (NCSO)
- Current Standard First Aide
- Current Certified ACSA COR Auditor
- Minimum 5 years’ Health & Safety experience working in a manufacturing/plant environment.
- Minimum 3 years related Health & Safety experience in the commercial construction field.
- Experience conducting external/internal safety audits.
- Experience working in a culturally diverse environment.
- Must pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Testing
