Our First restaurant opening asap is a stone oven Italian pizzeria/bar Called Ferrari's Pit Stop but we are in the process of building out 6 other very large high-end restaurants/nightclubs. There is plenty of room to expand and grow within our organization.
We Are Looking For someone with advanced culinary experience menu building cost control and more. Culinary education and Red Seal are plus but not necessary.
Must have the following
- minimum 5 years experience.
- Must be competent in forms of cost control and online systems
- strong leadership skills
- Strong Organization skills.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
1. Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks to ensure smooth operations
2. Create BOH weekly schedule
3. Execute probationary period reviews of new employees
4. Execute training of new employees
5. Coach and develop current employees
6. Follow food safety regulations and standards
7. Maintain equipment and tools in the kitchen
8. Ensure high-quality standards are met in all areas of food preparation, presentation, and service.
9. Monitor food cost and inventory levels to maintain budget goals
10. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen
11. Train and mentor kitchen staff on culinary techniques, safety, and hygiene practices
12. Participate in the hiring, training, and development of kitchen staff
13. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new cooking techniques, and culinary innovations.
14. Enforce company's policies in consideration of Employment Standards Act (ESA), Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC), Workplace Safety and Insurance Act (WSIA), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and Health Protection and Promotion Act (HPPA) in workplace.
Pay: $45,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
