Britannia Brewing is a local brewery, taphouse + eatery with a focus on craft beer and modern west coast cuisine. We operate two restaurant locations - located in Steveston and Ladner Village.

**Job Description**:
As the Head Chef of Britannia Brewing Ladner, you will be responsible for the management of all daily kitchen activities. You will be responsible for leading, engaging and motivating your culinary team to ensure all standards are met, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.

Job Summary

As a Chef of Britannia Brewing Ladner, you will play a key role in training and developing junior staff and be responsible for working with ownership to evolve the menu, scheduling, inventory. You will be bringing your ideas to features and the next seasonal menu

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Leading daily preparation activities
- Accountable for all key financial metrics relating to kitchen operations including food and labour cost (scheduling)
- Maintaining kitchen inventory - ordering and receiving of all product
- Supporting in the hiring and training of all kitchen staff
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment for all staff, in compliance to all local and provincial health guidelines
- Promoting teamwork through effective feedback and communication
- Maintaining a high level of food quality in accordance to company standards and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintaining positive vendor relations

**What You Bring**:

- 3+ years of management experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Experience in supporting a team
- Experience in menu development (in either a key or supporting capacity)
- Strong communication skills
- experience in ordering, food costing, inventory management
- Overall passion for the restaurant industry, a love for food, and a desire to engage with and impact guests (passion for craft beer a bonus)
