**The Sushi Chef is responsible for**:

- Making various maki and rolls according to each recipe
- Preparing a variety of ingredients
- Assisting the Head Sushi Chef during service
- Working in collaboration with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operation
- Regularly inspecting food and supplies to ensure safe food preparation and storage standards are maintained
- Following established sanitation standards, maintaining a clean work station and assisting with cleaning of the overall kitchen and service areas

**What we are looking for**:

- Ideally 1+ year of experience with Japanese cuisine, but willing to train
- Have experience working in a fast paced high-volume establishment
- Familiarity with Japanese cuisine.
- A valid Foodsafe Level 1 certificate. A red seal certificate would be considered an asset
- Good command of both spoken and written English. Knowledge of Korean would be considered an asset.
- Team player with a guest-first mindset
- Ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift moderate amounts of weight
- Must have weekend availability
- Must have valid proof of Social Insurance Number and be legal to work in Canada with proof as a Canadian citizen, PR or valid work permit

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
