**The opportunity**:
Backed by the global strength and security of Manulife Investment Management (MIM), Manulife Securities works with independent advisors in the delivery of advice and product solutions to clients. Comprised of three firms, an IIROC dealer, an MFDA dealer and an insurance MGA, Manulife Securities supports more than 2000 advisors across Canada.

The Manager - Business Planning and Initiatives Management will work closely with Manulife Securities leaders and product owners on key business initiatives and programs, and act as our business expert and owner for Salesforce.

You will also be a conduit to the Continuous Delivery Organization for the business to assist with work assessments, defining business requirements, tactical planning, implementation management and vetting of backlog.

In our quest to continue to enhance and deliver new capabilities and improve experience for advisors, this role will be required to collaborate seamlessly with partners from various functions across our matrix organization and in the Continuous Delivery Organization including, Technology, Sales, Marketing, Advanced Analytics, Compliance and Operations. The role will also work with and in some cases act as point of contact for external vendors that help deliver programs and services.

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- University Business Degree with a recognized aligned designation (CMA or MBA preferred)
- 5 - 7 years progressive business experience within the financial services industry, with preference for financial advice space
- Experience with program management
- Strategic business thinker with strong analytical and planning skills and an above average ability to synthesize information and formulate tactical plans through to execution
- Excellent business consulting and organizational skills
- Ability to work on multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Well developed communication and relationship skills with strong ability to negotiate and influence
- Ability to work and influence cross functional teams and in an agile continuous delivery environment
- Direct experience with and strong working knowledge of Salesforce
- Full knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills
- Self
- confident, independent and results oriented
