The Jean Tweed Centre is a leading, community-based organization that provides a safe and supportive environment for women with substance use, mental health, and gambling concerns. Recognizing the diversity of women’s experience today, our programs seek to address a range of issues in a woman’s life that may contribute to substance use and gambling concerns. Understanding each woman’s experience within the broader physical, emotional, social, cultural and gender framework, we provide a client-centered approach to health.
**Position Overview**:
The **Talent Acquisition Specialist** plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day human resources activities across the organization, with a key focus on recruitment and onboarding. Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, this position supports the full recruitment cycle - posting jobs, sourcing, screening, scheduling, offers, and onboarding and contributes to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment for all new hires and hiring managers. You will also assist in improving templates and recruitment systems to support an organized, people-first hiring experience.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare and send out interview invitations, coordinate logistics, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Draft offer letters and manage the offer and acceptance process with professionalism and care.
- Facilitate the **onboarding experience** for new hires, ensuring all documentation is completed and that employees feel welcomed and informed on Day One.
- Promote inclusive hiring practices and participate in activities that support equity, diversity, and belonging across the recruitment process.
- Support hiring managers through timely communication, calendar coordination, and recruitment-related documentation.
- All other related duties as assigned in support of a healthy, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.
**Organizational**
- Conduct job responsibilities with a commitment to harm reduction, trauma
- informed, women-centered and anti-oppressive practices.
- Abide by the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and work in a manner that is safe, reporting incidents immediately to direct supervisor.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of The Jean Tweed Centre.
- Perform other duties as assigned in order to meet the overall goals and objectives of The Jean Tweed Centre.
- Maintain a client Service Orientation including learning about and addressing client needs and concerns.
- Work collaboratively including respect others, sharing information, consulting and celebrating shared successes.

**Key Qualifications**
**Experience**:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree, Diploma and Human Resource Post-Graduate Certificate
- Proven experience working in an office environment
- Experience using job boards (e.g., Indeed) and scheduling tools.
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills to deal effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Work effectively and reliably under pressure, adaptable to change.
- Strong computer knowledge and skills of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft programs and human resources information system.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months
Pay: $17.20-$22.00 per hour
