ACQBUILT is seeking a Procurement Specialist. As a member of the Procurement & Estimating Department, the Procurement Specialist is accountable and responsible for identifying and screening procurement suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions, driving improved supplier service levels, capturing, tracking and maintaining documentation in accordance with Company policies and procedures. The Procurement Specialist is also responsible to minimize risk while improving the company’s business results, drives standardization and automating business procurement best practices and procedures.
- **Responsibilities Include but are not limited to**:_
- Oversee all aspects of purchasing, negotiations, strategy, tool and process implementation for procurement related to goods and services.
- Identify when supplies are low and replenish raw materials as needed.
- Create & maintain all related purchasing & inventory documentation:

- Month end duties.
- ERP
- Supply pricing & agreements
- Ensure all documentation is complete and ready for the accounting department to process.
- Setup and maintain procurement system and continuous to improve the process and procedures.
- Create and submit packages to supply partners for quotation and pricing.
- including cost analysis and bid tabulation.
- Conduct cost comparisons for alternative materials/vendors.
- Negotiates favorable contractual terms and conditions on behalf of the Company with suppliers and vendors.
- Build strong relationship with vendors/suppliers/partners to foster collaboration and teamwork.
- Deliver on cost reduction commitments through the identification, development, and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Provide guidance to vendors/suppliers on the procurement process; and resolve any issues.
- Update and manage price lists as required for estimating/purchasing duties.
- Become familiar with company specification and products.
- Support evaluation of suppliers with respect to service, customer relations, quality, capacity, capability, safety and environmental sustainability.
- Ensure relevance and conformance with best practices and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory policies.
- Assist in preparation of material specs and pricing options and ensure that specs are updated, maintained and accurate.
- Develop and implement detailed sourcing and procurement strategies to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
- Review new products or suppliers/vendors for improved quality and cost effectiveness.
- Comply with Company’s Code of Business Ethics and Conduct.
- Work closely with the projects team to understand the details of procurement requirements.
- Provide weekly/monthly reports to stakeholders.
- Complete additional duties as needed.
- **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required**:_
- Minimum of 5 years of procurement work experience in an environment of similar of scope and complexity with a preference in construction and service.
- Bachelor in Business, purchasing or related field or equivalent.
- Experiences in procurement, setting procurement strategies, driving cost saving and improving terms and conditions.
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent supplier management skills
- Solid computer skills in MS Offices and experience with an ERP system.
- **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred**:_
- Master's degree in a related field preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of procurement industry, standard, best practices and policies.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to lead procurement processes.
- Demonstrated strong oral and communication skills.
- EPICOR ERP software experience an asset.
- Knowledge of new home construction an asset.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous self-improvement.
- Self-starter with a highly energetic, results oriented work style.
- Solid team player with a high level of honesty and integrity.
- Ability to maintain good relations with internal and external partners.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of the the industry and market conditions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible to work long hours as demanded by projects.
- Able to travel to meet vendors and suppliers as necessary.
