**Communication and Engagement Facilitator**- SEND Project**

**(Part-time Contract)**

CCS is a settlement agency providing a range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or status and is partner agency for the Supports to Engage Newcomers Digitally (SEND) project.

CCS is seeking a part-time Communication & Engagement Facilitator to work on the Supports to Engage Newcomers Digitally (SEND) project. The project aims to increase the capacity of Service Provider Organizations in Ontario to use digital messaging tools to reach and share settlement information with newcomers, improving access to accurate and reliable information.

This role will be responsible for conducting and analyzing needs assessments of organizations and their experiences with digital messaging services, and contributing to the development of a framework to support organizations with their approach to using digital messaging with newcomer clients.

**What you will be doing?**:

- Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative data collection tools to collect and analyze relevant data from project stakeholders through remote communication
- Design materials and implement outreach strategy to engage diverse stakeholders in needs assessments
- Assist in the visualization of data for presentations and reports to support decision-making and knowledge sharing
- Conduct desktop research, outreach, or interviews to gather supplementary information from organizations or stakeholders
- Compile information and produce written materials
- Contribute to producing project documentation and reports
- Work in close collaboration with the project team and partner agencies
- Maintain organized documentation and support knowledge management efforts
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely statistical and project reports as required

**What are we looking for?**
- Post-secondary education in Social Sciences or a related field
- Experience in a research assistant role is an asset
- Excellent knowledge of qualitative research and experience with quantitative research
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment with staff, partners and participants
- Experience developing and implementing surveys
- Excellent time management, planning, and follow through
- Ability to work well with different stakeholders and partners in collaborative projects
- Knowledge of issues and barriers experienced by newcomers is an asset
- Demonstrated interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills required to work with team members, partner organizations and the general public
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English; fluency in French is an asset
- A clear, mandatory criminal check must be presented before starting position

**Location**:55 Town Centre Crt, Suite 401, Scarborough, ON

**Compensation**: $29.67 per hour

**Hours of work**: 14 hrs. per week, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime as required.
