- Support with the day-to-day operations of the bakery
- Handle and prepare Bakery products, Process customer Bakery orders
- Strategically arranging bakery items in display cases to encourage customer purchases
- Increase store sales by actively promoting products
- Greet customers in a pleasant, friendly and helpful manner
- Provide exceptional customer service while ensuring customer concerns are addressed tactfully and in a professional manner.
- Order and receive inventory and ensure that the bakery is adequately stocked with required ingredients
- Ensure freshness of all bakery items and that they meet the established standards on quality, uniformity, and aesthetic appeal
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the bakery premises
- Ensuring that baking tools, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized
- May be required to undertake other related duties on a periodic basis

Requirements:
- Degree in culinary arts or baking and pastry arts is advantageous
- A food handler's license is an asset
- Proven baking and cake decorating experience.
- The ability to use various cake decorating instruments and tools.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Detail-oriented.
- Artistic and creative.
- Strong interpersonal skills along with clear and effective communication style
- Excellent customer service & problem solving skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Skilled at working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining priorities and a high level of performance
- Well versed in managing systems necessary to operate a cash register, credit card machine, computer and pricing gun
- Should be physically fit as the role would involve walking, standing and lifting heavy items throughout the shift
- Flexible to work a variety of shifts; mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role would be preferred
