AGS is looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst to join our dynamic organization.

**JOB SUMMARY**

The temporary Accounts Payable Analyst reports to the Manager AP/AR and is responsible in performing day to day processing of Accounts Payable transactions to ensure that supplier payments are made timely and accurately.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Receive, match and verify invoices - 3 way P.O. matching
- Verify transactions comply with policies and procedures
- Prepare invoices for data entry
- Vouch invoices for payment
- Prepare and perform weekly cheque runs
- Prepare and process electronic payments
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
- Meet monthly with Plant Accountants/Plant Controllers to review accruals and open purchase order receipts
- Liaison with Suppliers and Plant personnel to resolve any discrepancies between the supplier invoice and Plant receipts
- Respond to all supplier enquiries
- File all paid invoices & supporting documents
- Prepare vendor cheques for mailing
- Action open PO receipts
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
- Provide supporting documentation for audits

**EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum of 5 years of A/P experience and/or College Diploma in Business
- Ability to work independently and work well under tight deadlines
- Results-oriented person, who strives for continuous improvements
- Strong analytical, organizational, verbal and communication skills
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft OutlookProblem solving skills
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
