**The Role: Production Coordinator**

**Who are you?**

As the Production Coordinator, you will support the manufacturing team with ongoing coordination for improvement and continued development in process related to Quality, Safety, Lean Practices and Sustainability as part of the Manufacturing Processes. You would be expected to liaise with and work positively as part of a team working with the required external department leads to meet the objectives of the manufacturing team.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- You have a Highschool Diploma or GED equivalent or bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field or 2-5 years' experience in a production coordinator role or similar role.
- You have general knowledge in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma and/or a strong understanding of lean manufacturing & process development
- You have participated in Safety activities such as JSA, JHSC, or equivalent.
- You have general knowledge in Quality.
- You have the knowledge of manufacturing principles.
- You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- You can do root cause analysis.
- You have experience with change management and deployment.
- You are familiar with electrical and mechanical equipment and associated risks.
- You are familiar with dangerous goods and associated risks.

**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities**:

- You will partner with leadership within the MFG Team to improve quality, safety, and environmental sustainability within the manufacturing environment.
- You will work with other managers to address production issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.
- You will communicate with suppliers regarding changes in materials or equipment needed to support production needs.
- You will assist in the development and implementation of process improvements.
- You will investigate and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- You will train and mentor new employees on proper production procedures.
- You will maintain accurate records of production data and metrics.
- You will generate reports to track production KPIs.
- You will ensure quality assurance throughout the production process.
- You will support the deployment of tools, policies, protocols, & training developed by other external departments as required within the MFG environment.
- You will support MFG staff in identifying risks and deploying mitigation strategies/tools.
- You will develop tools, policies, protocols & training with lean principles to ensure the delivery of better quality, value, and reliability to the Manufacturing team.
- You will source external resources as required to resolve issues.
- You will practice advocacy, participate in Svante’s Lean culture, and sincere, passionate belief in Svante’s values and business mission.
- You will utilize project management tools and techniques to effectively communicate objectives, priorities, and project milestones.
