Production Coordinator

**WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**
We are looking for a Production Coordinator to join our Manufacturing Team in Burnaby, BC. You will be responsible for supporting Production and the Manufacturing Management team on daily production tasks, resolve hurdles that prevent production from continuing, and make recommendations for improvements.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Provide training and guidance for production associates to perform daily tasks and support continuous improvement.
- Support new process and tooling implementations created by the Manufacturing Engineer team.
- Monitor and improve production efficiency.
- Ensure all constructions and quality requirements are met.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost saving.
- Provide daily output and efficiency requirement to the manufacturing team.
- Support on-time delivery on work orders.
- Document all quality issues and manage products that are non-conforming on the production floor.
- Collaborate with production and production management staff on issue management.
- Create and maintain documentation for production.
- Coordinate with contractors and fabricators to build tooling and fixtures.
- Ensure all safety and health regulations are followed in the production process.
- Liaise with other cross-functional departments to help facilitate production processes, incl. Supply Chain Department on raw material readiness.
- Support and drive Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives.
**QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS**:
- General education diploma or higher education is required.
- 1 - 2 years of exposure to manufacturing environment.
- Experience with document processing.
- Enjoy hands-on work with machines and tools.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail.
- Analytical skills and proven track record of problem solving.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimum guidance in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Basic mathematical skills, and ability to calculate figures and amount.
- Experience in ERP is an asset.
- Being able to speak another language is an asset.
