**Junior Systems Administrator/ IT Help Desk Clerk**

**Duties and responsibilities**

A Junior administrator balances several tasks, with primary duties and responsibilities including:

- Providing solutions and advice on technical issues
- Creating manuals for technical training
- Using feedback from users to improve problem-solving techniques and customer service
- Documenting and analyzing technical issues and user interactions
- Attending training sessions to stay current with best practices on how to help users with technical issues
- Learn the functions and back end of the software programs we use so you can walk users through the steps to achieve specific goals
- Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
- Assisting System Administrators
- Maintain a high level of courteous “customer service” at all times

- Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Ability to learn new technologies and implement them
- High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree preferred)
- 1+ years’ experience in IT-related position
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Microsoft networking technologies including Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 and 2019 administration
- Active Directory ( AD ) experience: must be able to do site and user management & Group Policy ( GP ) configurations: Group Policy Object ( GPO )
- Windows desktop environment technologies; Office 2013/2016, Windows 7/8.1/10/11
- Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including hardware RAID, Active Directory, TCP/IP and Wireless technology.
- VoIP Systems - Configuration / Troubleshoot
- Able to install, support, and troubleshoot server and PC hardware components and peripherals.

**Experience requirements**

Applicants with at least one year of experience in the field of information technology.

Junior Administrators must be familiar with various computer formats and Microsoft Windows operating systems. They must also know how to use administration tools and techniques and be familiar with troubleshooting techniques.

A Junior Administrator can install, make changes, and repair computer hardware and software. They are also required to follow up with users on the technical issues they resolve.

A Junior Administrator must be tech-savvy. They must be willing to put users first and be patient while assisting them. They must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment answering a high volume of calls. A Junior Administrator focuses on tasks and pay attention to technical details. They must also be available to work flexible hours or overtime.

**Salary**: $30,000.00-$40,000.00 per year
