**Part-Time Event & E-Commerce Operations Associate**

**Role Overview**

This role is split between **anime convention event work** and **weekly e-commerce operations** at our office. You’ll be a key face of Animebae on the convention floor while also supporting fulfillment and customer experience behind the scenes.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys travel, live events, sales, and hands-on operational work — and who can manage responsibilities independently.

**Key ResponsibilitiesEvent & Convention Operations**
- Assist with **booth setup and teardown**, including displays, racks, inventory, and merchandising
- Manage booth operations during conventions, ensuring a clean, organized, and visually appealing space
- Engage with customers, explain products, and represent the Animebae brand professionally
- Handle **in-person sales**, payments, and transactions using POS systems
- Restock merchandise and manage inventory throughout events
- Troubleshoot issues on-site and adapt quickly in high-pressure environments
- Support overall event flow and logistics during multi-day conventions

**E-Commerce Fulfillment (Weekly Office Shift)**
- Pick, pack, and prepare online orders for shipment
- Assist with inventory organization and stock counts
- Coordinate shipments between Canada and U.S. fulfillment when required
- Ensure orders are packed accurately and efficiently

**Customer Service**
- Provide clear, friendly support related to orders, shipping, and basic product questions
- Escalate issues when needed and help resolve customer concerns professionally

**Required Qualifications**
- Valid **driver’s license** (required for event transport and logistics)
- Ability and willingness to **travel for conventions**, including:

- **Sakura-Con (Seattle): April 1-5**:

- **Otafest (Calgary): May 14-18**:

- **Anime North (Toronto): May 20-24**:

- **Anime Expo (Los Angeles): July 1-7**:

- Prior experience with:

- Merchandising or retail displays
- Sales (in-person preferred)
- POS systems (Square, Shopify POS, or similar)
- Comfortable working long event days on your feet
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Passion for anime, manga, and fandom culture
- A proactive problem-solver who stays calm under pressure
- Comfortable **self-managing** tasks with mínimal supervision

**Nice to Have**
- Convention, pop-up shop, or event experience
- Streetwear or fashion retail background
- Familiarity with Shopify or e-commerce workflows
- Experience representing a brand publicly or on a sales floor
