**This posting is for TWO (2) temporary FULL-TIME positions for up to SIX (6) months.**

1. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide crisis intervention including assessment and short-term counseling.
- Make referrals and/or advocate for a multi-disadvantaged client group.
- Respond to complaints and investigate them in a consistent, fair, and timely manner to reduce escalation.
- Support and educate tenants to meet their obligations and advise them of their responsibilities to assist in tenancy retention.
- Liaise with various social, medical, and law enforcement agencies involved with our tenants.
- Provide guidance and ongoing support to individuals pertaining to neighbor disputes and/or antisocial behavior.
- Complete reports relaying information and recommendations regarding tenant-related social issues and safety concerns.
- Participate in unit inspections and assist with securing units, as required.
- Prompt, effective recording of information in Yardi property management software.
- Review of surveillance system footage when required.
- Assist in organizing joint staff/tenant information meetings; participate as required.
- Attend LTB hearings as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
2. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & QUALIFICATIONS:
- College diploma or university degree in a relevant social service field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a social service field dealing with a diverse client population.
- Must possess knowledge of counselling interventions, harm reduction, addictions, and mental health.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing and resolving applicant/client issues.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills to deal tactfully and effectively with various social issues.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to take initiative and possess a positive team attitude.
- Able to deal effectively with crisis situations.
- Demonstrated understanding of support requirements specific to individuals with developmental, physical, and medical challenges.
- Strong report writing skills; ability to write clear, concise observations of behaviour.
- Ability to use sound judgement and make independent decisions based on policies and procedures; willingness to promote our Corporate philosophy.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
- Knowledge of community support agencies and the services or resources available.
- Knowledge of the Housing Services Act, Residential Tenancies Act, and the City of London Housing Division Notices and local policies.
- Proven computer skills, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Yardi Enterprise.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners, and government agencies.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, have access to a reliable vehicle, and carry adequate insurance.
