**Why is this position important?**
Specialty Health Network (SHN) by Shoppers is looking to hire a summer student enrolled in a nursing program to support our clinical services department. The student will have the opportunity to put their training into practice and gain valuable practical experience by participating in the creation and modification of work instructions, the development of a clinical library, as well as the support of special projects and initiatives, as directed by the clinical management team.
The clinical department would benefit from a summer student to help complete the administrative tasks that support the functioning of the department. The student will effectively manage all assigned tasks and responsibilities within the prescribed time frame.
**Your Role**:
- Support clinical management with the creation of a clinical library and the transition of current documents from a shared drive to Microsoft SharePoint.
- Help create work instructions for various aspects of clinical workflow.
- Be responsible for special projects.
- Undertake any other duties or responsibilities requested.
- Demonstrate commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement
- Maintain high standards of professional practice by adhering to the ethics of the profession and keeping abreast of the latest professional advances
**Job Requirements**:
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., nursing)
- Ability to communicate effectively with all relevant Specialty Health Network teams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to solve problems
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be confident when using Microsoft Office 365
