Join our team as a Resident and Family Services Coordinator
Under the direction of the Director of Resident Care, the Resident/Family Services Coordinator is responsible and accountable for providing a smooth transition for resident admission and continued placement. Ensures and provides support to residents and families before, during and following the Admission Process acting as a resident advocate.
**The following traits and qualifications are required**:
Must have a current general certificate of registration with a college of a regulated health profession or the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers; or
Must have a post secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, kinesiology, therapeutic recreation or other related field from a community college or university, and at least one year of experience in a health care setting as required under the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021, ss 79 and Ontario Regulation ss. 70/22 (1).
Minimum of 2 years experience Long Term Care (Gerontology) preferred
Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education
Must demonstrate good communication skills
Must have an understanding of the Nursing Processes
