COMMERCIAL MARKETER

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Marketer for this full-time position.
The Role
The primary purpose of this position is to support Commercial Lines in all aspects of marketing accounts by building and fostering strong relationships with insurers, underwriters and other industry service providers.
**Responsibilities**:
- Liaise, negotiate and/or transact with underwriters and other insurance company representatives
- Negotiates and places new and renewal commercial business into the insurance marketplace, including mid-term change endorsements
- Proactively manages and tracks submissions for new and renewal business and tracks progress of policy documents and endorsements
- Liaise with Producers to discuss client needs and make recommendations regarding required terms and conditions
- Increase divisional efficiency and secure best in class marketing results
- Innovate new or existing programs
- Co-ordinate coverage comparison checklists
- Follows policies and procedures, including security and quality procedures, as currently set out and as amended from time to time
- Keeps current on new products, coverage and market trends
- Acts as technical support to staff for policy coverages and company underwriting information requirements
- Underwriting support for Lloyd’s Binding Authority
- Other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required
Position Requirements
- Professional designation (CIP, CAIB or equivalent)
- Insurance marketing experience (min. 2 years)
- Level 2 broker license
- Detail oriented
- Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills
- Excellent quantitative skills and computer literacy (Word and Excel, Outlook and TAM, or equivalent)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Independently carry out assignments and multi-task
- Superior interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus
- Coaching and mentoring staff experience
- Experience in managing and improving workflows and systems in a Commercial Lines department
- Ability to work well with others throughout the organization in a collaborative and respectful manner
- Experience with TAM is a definite asset.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
