**Position Summary**:
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods, both domestically and internationally, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders to schedule pickups, deliveries and shipments.
- Work closely with Management, and Dispatchers to grow the organization.
- Works on new initiatives and process improvements regarding shipping processes.
- Maintains an accurate audit trial of shipments/exports to end user.
- Prepare and submit all required documentation. Liaise with booking agents, Carrier and Freight Forwarders, Freight Brokering.
- Enforce and adhere to Company policy and procedures.
- Must be able to work well in a fast paced, team environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience**:

- 5+ years expertise in the following areas: Dispatch; Long Haul; Open Deck; Oversize Loads; Logistics
- Customer relationship management expertise.
- Good knowledge of international shipping and trade.
- Knowledge of Approval and Reconciliation process for Freight Invoices.
- Ability to Negotiate freight quotes to ensure best rates/services for shipping.
- Good working knowledge of logistics and distribution, shipping, freight forwarding, carriers, LTL, freight ground, and air and sea.
- Knowledge of US and Canadian Customs.
- Experience in ownership of custom clearance with documentation for POD, exporter/importer record verification, tariff code, pricing queries.
- Ability to negotiate rates between carriers.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and carriers.
- Reliable and strong work ethic.
