**About the Job**

As a solar installation foreman, your responsibilities include managing the install crew on a job site, enforcing safety requirements, reviewing construction and safety plans while setting up the job site, assigning installers their duties while monitoring progress, and reinforcing best practices. You also keep the crew on schedule, check the quality of the system they install, and test the solar system once it is completed. You then complete final inspections and help workers clean up the work site. Throughout each job, you communicate with customers, subcontractors, and management on a regular basis while providing excellent customer service.

You must be a competent, trustworthy individual, with excellent personal initiative, attention to detail, and great positive attitude. We are looking for an intelligent, self-motivated person with great work ethic. You must be able to lift 54lbs or more repeatedly throughout the day. You must be experienced at and certified for working at heights.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide oversight relating to the installation of the project in accordance with engineering requirements.
- Interface with the installation team members for training/continuing education/certification requirements to improve safety, technical knowledge, and installation quality.
- Troubleshoot technical issues for your crew and aid other crews as necessary.
- Ensure all work performed by the Installation Crew is of good workmanship and compliant with current OESC and OBC codes.
- Maintain compliance to all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and MySolar standards.
- Provide coaching, technical training and performance reviews to those that report to you.
- Lead the installation of electrical systems that interconnect our solar array to the grid power of our customer’s residential property.
- Provide leadership for those reporting to you by clearly communicating the mission, goals, and values of MySolar.
- Occasional work in the warehouse organizing/staging of equipment.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent understanding of measurements, dimensions, and spacing, for pristine layout/racking work.
- Experience leading a team in the field, with evidence of conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Clear grasp of construction of roofing system principles, ensuring that structural integrity and water barriers are respected and maintained during the installation process.
- Time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Organization, week to week, and day to day, team planning and communication
- Experience with electrical installation, troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to be comfortable being and working on roofs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

**Required Experience and Qualifications**
- Current Fall Safety and Fall Arrest Certification (Company can help in providing Certification)
- Current Working at Heights Certification (Company can help in providing Certification)
- Current WHMIS Certification
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- 2+ years experience installing solar PV.
- Basic knowledge of solar PV technology, including modules, inverters, optimizers, mounting equipment

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Installing Solar Panel: 2 years (preferred)

Work Location: On the road
