Site Foreman- Environmental Remediations

Nexxgen Environmental is an environmental remediation company based out of Ajax Ontario, specializing in earthworks and system installations. Our earthworks division conducts large and small excavations/ trenches on large properties and in limited space environments. Excavations/ trenches can vary from standard basic operations to technical shoring operations depending on site conditions. Our work is primarily in the GTA and surrounding areas, although we do work all over Ontario.

**Experience requirements**:
**1. Site Operations**: Min 5 years experience
- Site set up (fence, signs, layouts and staging)_
- Employee management (delegating tasks to workers)_
- Heavy equipment management (fuel management, operator management, spoil management)_
- Site documentation (materials and volumes, man hours, equipment hours, rentals, trucking)_
- Daily reports documenting daily operations for billing_
- Daily site safety paperwork (Daily Safe Work Permits, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Traffic Control Plans (TCP), ensure equipment pre trips filled out correctly, COVID19)_
- Dealing with subcontractors and inspectors_

**2. Heavy Equipment**: Min 3 Years experience
- Basic knowledge of how to run an excavators and rock trucks_
- Basic knowledge of how to run a dozers and loaders_
- Basic knowledge how to run skid steers and compaction equipment _
- Extensive knowledge in equipment capabilities _
- Ability to coordinate equipment maintenance with office_

**3. Contamination (Soil & Water)**: Min 3 years experience
- Petroleum Mechanic 2 and Petroleum Mechanic 3 certificate(s)_
- Understanding of fuel storage systems and removals_
- Ability to identify contaminated from clean materials_
- Knowledge on proper stock piling procedures for contamination _
- Ability to manage a mobile water treatment station_

**4. Shoring Equipment**: Min 4 years experience
- Organizing shoring rentals and deliveries _
- Knowledge and understanding of safe hoisting procedures _
- Knowledge of different type of shoring systems_
- Knowledge of procedure to correctly install shoring_
- Knowledge and understanding of Fall Arrest systems and requirement_

**Daily tasks for a Foreman**:

- Morning site inspection, paperwork and ensure operators check equipment
- Toolbox talk and daily operations talk
- Review site documents (locates, permits, engineered drawing, site plans, etc.)
- Site/ excavation layouts
- Grades and elevations (set/check grade laser for
- Job monitoring (labourers and operators)
- Site documentation of material volumes and equipment hours
- Managing labour hours and tasks
- Managing operator hours and task
- Organizing trucking to export material
- Organizing import materials
- Daily work reports for billing purposes
- Communication between with PM in regards to project
- Daily updates to our Operations Manager

**Applicants that meet most criteria but not all will still be considered for the position. A qualified applicant will have experience in all sections listed above, but may lack experience in some of the subsections.**

**Salary**: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
