Expertec is a leading turnkey provider of van and truck outfitting in Western Canada, headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta. We design and install custom equipment and accessories for industrial and commercial service vehicles including aluminum slide-in service bodies, Spacekaps, van shelving, flat decks, mobile lube skids, top quality truck caps and canopies.
We are adding an IT Support Specialist to our team in **Edmonton, AB**
The purpose of the IT Support Specialist position is to Provide technical assistance and support to users, ensuring that computer systems, networks, and software function efficiently. The IT Support Specialist will manage day-to-day IT support tasks while also contributing to NetSuite customizations and automation.

**Job details**
- Full time - Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Weekends off.
- Full Benefits after 90 days including Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
**IT Support & User Management**
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to internal users (hardware, software, O365, basic networking)
- Manage users, groups, and access permissions within Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
- Support identity lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, and role changes
- Troubleshoot authentication, access, and group policy issues
- Liaise with advanced vendor or third-party tech support on complex or escalated issues
**NetSuite Development & Support**
- Create, modify, and maintain NetSuite scripts using SuiteScript 1.0/2.0
- Customize and support NetSuite workflows, saved searches, dashboards, and custom records
- Automate business processes and support NetSuite-related system improvements
- Diagnose and resolve NetSuite performance or customization issues
**General IT & Systems Support**
- Maintain accurate software, hardware, and license inventories
- Assist with software deployment, system imaging, and patch management
- Document technical processes, configurations, and common troubleshooting steps
**Qualifications**:
- 2+ years of experience in an IT support or systems administrator role
- Hands-on experience with Entra ID / Azure Active Directory administration
- Proficiency in NetSuite SuiteScript (1.0 and/or 2.0)
- Familiarity with NetSuite administration (roles, permissions, records)
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to work on-site and travel occasionally to branch office locations
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, and endpoint management
- Understanding of JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, and system integrations
- NetSuite certifications or relevant IT certifications (e.g., MS-100, CompTIA)
