**About the job.**

**This position **collaborates with the Food & Beverage and Guest Services management to ensure the smooth execution of all group bookings. As a sales lead, you will guide guests through the sales experience and handle all incoming inquiries, aiming to provide exceptional customer service while maximizing revenue. You will serve as the internal team's expert on guest needs and preferences and represent the organization's offerings to our guests with expertise and excellence.

- 2-3 years experience in events and sales or combined experience and education
- 2 years experience in hospitality industry (Food & Beverage preferred)
- High proficiency with MS Office
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays
- Reliable transportation to and from Brentwood Bay
- Serving It Right and FoodSafe certification or willing to obtain

**What you’ll be doing.**
- Conduct site tours and sales meetings with prospective clients
- Lead weekly BEO meetings to ensure that the executing teams have all of the necessary information and are clear on event details
- Closely manage all buy-out sales including being the main point of guest contact during event set up
- Lead our guests through the experience, offering suggestions and options designed to maximize revenue and guest experience
- Collaborate with Rooms and F&B departments to provide rate quotes for rooms, meeting spaces, activities, and catering requirements
- Respond to all inquiries related to group dinners, meetings, weddings, conferences, executive retreats, and private parties in a timely manner
- Create Banquet Event Orders, Group Summaries, and internal correspondence to ensure seamless execution of events
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu items and beverage lists
- Work with the Chef to develop custom menus for each event as required
- Prepare proposals and contracts for all events
- Oversee furniture moving and setup for large events
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all event details
- Follow up with clients after events to ensure satisfaction with services provided
