Warehouse and Logistics Manager

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the efficient management of inventory and equipment to support the field staff in delivering EXCELLENCE to customers.
This position reports directly to the head of Field Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Management
- Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse.
- Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse to ensure the safety of employees accessing the warehouse and safeguarding of inventory.
- Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage systems in place.
- Liaise with foreman to ensure products are shipped to job sites in a timely manner.
- Receive and inspect incoming inventory; resolving shipment errors with suppliers.
- Arrange Return Materials Authorizations for inventory to be returned to suppliers.
- Minimize the levels of obsolete inventory.
- Monitor and account for inventory held in vehicles.
- Schedule the delivery of materials, consumables, and tools to the job site.
- Delivery of materials, consumables, and tools to the job site; as needed.
Procurement
- Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Select suppliers based on their standard of service, quality, and price.
- Order materials, consumables and tools used on site.
- Recognize efficiencies through online ordering.
- Verify purchase invoices through HH2 (document flow software).
- Stay up to date with industry trends.
- Monitor and expedite orders as needed.
Equipment/Tool Management
- Maintain and account for personal protective equipment.
- Ensure tools are in good working order and accounted for.
- Keep maintenance logs for equipment; as required.
- Ensure the forklift is maintained in good working order and routine inspections completed prior to use.
Fleet Management
- Issuance and return receipt of company vehicles to foreman.
- Ensure and oversee necessary fleet maintenance.
- Identify the need for fleet replacement.
- Ensure monthly fleet inspections are completed and deficiencies addressed.
Other
- Supervise the Warehouse Assistant and ensure the safe use of warehouse equipment.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Process improvements; leveraging technology.
- Facilitating the FIT and the initial onboarding of new field employees.
- General facilities management and minor repairs

Key Certifications:
- Red Seal Electrician Certificate
- Class 5 drivers’ license
- Forklift license
- Certified FIT Technician (an asset)
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management (an asset)
