Compensation: $26.65/hr

Appleby Summer Boarding is seeking enthusiastic staff to support our all-inclusive summer programs for local and international participants aged 10 to 17. Our programs provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where participants can experience life at Appleby College while developing their skills and having fun. Staff will contribute to creating an engaging experience through expert instruction, small group activities, and a focus on participation and cooperation.

THE ROLE:
The Admin Assistant will support Assistant Director of Ancillary Boarding Programs by fulfilling administrative and registration duties. This position will support the Appleby Summer Program’s mission to create an exceptional on-campus living experience.

WHAT MAKES THIS JOB AWESOME
- Manage and process all the Summer ESL Program, Summer CEC Program, Summer Academy, and Enrichment related registrations and documentation
- Assist with creating room assignments and weekly meal schedules
- Prepare materials for program, excursions, medical and duty binders
- Administer and assist with staff and student attendance, absence, sick leaves, and insurance claims
- Perform Program related reception duties
- Assist Coordinator, Ancillary Activities with facility and conference rental groups as needed
- Providing logístical support for off-campus excursion arrangements and busing schedule changes
- Assist with arranging participant welcome, departure, and airport transfers
- Support with facilitation of boarding staff training and attend daily summer boarding meetings
- Assist with all associated duties for the Boarding Programs Office
- Maintain ‘Glitch’/Suggestion log during program period
- Follow and ensure program procedures and policies are always adhered including Appleby’s Mutual Respect Policy

YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:

- Have previous administrative, customer-service oriented experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Possess Previous work experience in Boarding, Recreation, or Camps is an asset
- Demonstrate strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Have a high level of professionalism and a courteous approach to all participants, parents, staff, visitors and parents
- Are equipped with strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills
- Demonstrate strong typing skills and solid knowledge of word, excel, outlook

- Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm
- Program Session Dates & Hours
- Monday June 30, 2025 to August 29, 2025
- Typically Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm
- Sunday June 29th Full Day - Hours Vary
- Sunday July 6th Full Day - Hours Vary
- Sunday July 27th Full Day - Hours Vary
